WindwardStud – Royal Santana – Merrill

Located west of Purcell, Oklahoma is the premier Quarter Horse breeding facility known as Frank Merrill’s Windward Stud. Over the past 25 years, GH2 Gralla Equine Architects has fully realized the master plan and the complete design of the “Wet Mare” or “South Farm” and the “Dry Mare” or “North Farm”. The total farm covers approximately 400 acres and has the most up-to-date artificial breeding, foaling, and training facilities available. Among the newest facilities at the “North Farm” are the Royal Santana show and training arena; arena restroom and shower facilities, employee bunkhouses, and equipment maintenance facility. Renovated facilities include offices, a breeding shed, a stallion barn, a mare barn, and the main residence. The two farms combined represent a facility investment of more than $8 million.
