University of Oklahoma Armory

GH2 was selected by the University of Oklahoma to provide design services for the rehabilitation of the historic Armory structure on the main campus in Norman, Oklahoma. The facility was constructed in 1918 and is home to the University of Oklahoma Army and Navy Reserve Officer Training Corps, and houses offices, teaching, and multi-use spaces that support the training of student cadets and midshipmen.

The project includes a complete exterior rehabilitation. A full roof replacement, complete exterior masonry repair, and tuckpointing, and a historic window replacement will be undertaken to stabilize the building envelope. The interior renovation includes replacement of all HVAC and building systems along with improvements to existing classroom spaces, administrative offices, the student lounge, and drill bay.
