Broken Arrow Public Schools Highland Park Elementary

Highland Park Elementary School in the Broken Arrow Public School District meets and exceeds the needs of the instructors, students, and the community. A once undeveloped site now boasts a school with space for students in pre-K through 5th grade.

The District’s intent for this facility was to develop an alternate curriculum style using large-group teaching methods within pod-style layouts. A master plan was also concurrently developed for a future middle school on the 160 acre-acre site.

A clinic, a full-sized gymnasium and a media center are just a few of the features in this 96,000 square-foot building. Following the request for alternate curriculum style, 30 pod-style classrooms were also created. They have direct access to the exterior from each pod, allowing for multiple exterior play areas.
