Mustang Public Schools STEM Science Academy

Mustang Schools is one of the few in the state to earn the status as one of the Governor’s STEM communities focusing on science, technology, engineering and math. Their goal is to infuse STEM into all levels of learning, from STEM exploration in the elementary schools to actual scientific research classes at the secondary level. The new Science Academy, which is a 27,385-square-foot building designed specifically to focus on chemistry, physics and life sciences classes, is intended to be a state-of-the-art facility to supplement and to support the existing Mustang High School campus. It will include 8-10 combination lab classrooms, 2-3 dedicated chemistry labs, 4 chemistry classrooms and various other support spaces. An integral part of this project is input from the current science teachers and other staff at the high school, as that information will greatly impact our team’s design decisions as they work to make this project the best it can be.
