Hampton Inn & Suites – Hilton Garden Inn

GH2 designed the Grand Hotel on Potomac Yard’s Town Center to be the focal point of this complete mixed-use development of the 20+ block development that was once the abandoned brownfield for the Potomac Yard Railway in Alexandria. For the 400 guestroom hotel in the heart of the Potomac Yard Town Center, GH2 designed the hotel while collaborating with Gensler, the overall mixed-use project designer who designed the one million square feet of office space, to make the hotel the heart of the activity zone, nestled on the west side of the full-block outdoor venue space and surrounded by mixed use and office space. 

The fully built out mixed-use development will have residential units, parks, walking trails, restaurants, shopping, offices, and other commercial uses, and a new Metro stop within three blocks of the hotel. The hotel building is nine stories and contains two hotels, a Hilton Garden Inn and a Homewood Suites, retail, and 600 associated structured parking spaces.
