General Services Administration (GSA) Tulsa Federal Exterior Repoint
GH2 was engaged to perform architectural design services on multiple projects within and on the exterior of the Tulsa Federal Building in downtown Tulsa. An exterior building envelope assessment was performed, which included review of the historic copper standing seam roofing, limestone panel and mortar joint evaluation, exterior sealant assessment, and the operation of the original brass exterior doors and railings. After completing the exterior assessment of the entire building, which included an estimate based on priority, drawings were completed to help visually identify the different areas that needed to be addressed immediately. Security upgrades have been completed for the building, including the addition of a security screening entry for visitors, with a new court security officer station at the building entry. Additional projects include
Courtroom renovations, including finish, lighting, and ceiling upgrades; Energy star analysis and reports; and a preservation project of the grand marble stair and plaster ceilings. We also assisted in feasibility studies of the existing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
