Anheuser-Busch Clydesdale Breeding Facility
The Anheuser-Busch Clydesdale Breeding Farm, located on a 300+ acre site in Boonville, Missouri, provides an example of a state-of-the-art breeding facility that provides a home for raising Clydesdales that are used in the Budweiser Hitches.
The Master Plan for the facility provided two phases for the project to reach completion. Phase I included a series of pastures with shelters and a big hay barn and phase II included the large stable. The completed farm includes 10 buildings, including the facility centerpiece, the large breeding stable. This large stable is a 20,000-square-foot red metal barn with wide doors and green trim. Inside are large rubber-floored stalls, high-tech monitoring equipment, a breeding area, a veterinary lab, and an apartment.
