Saint Francis Muskogee Patient Bed Tower

Saint Francis Hospital Muskogee is a special place for healing and renewal. This facility has unique architectural expressions signifying the essential connection of community, care, and Christ. The chapel greets patients and visitors upon entry to the hospital grounds. Its stained-glass story extends a warm welcome to all and signals the important role of spiritual care in health and healing. Flowing out from this cornerstone are the waters of the three rivers represented by the blue, green and pink art elements above. These rippling currents lead the way to caring services and sustenance located off the three-level concourse. The symbolic use of water establishes spatial and community connection and confirms the presence and healing ministry of Christ in the healthcare journey. GH2 provided interior design and select architectural design services in collaboration with our design partner, Leo A. Daly providing primary architecture, on the Saint Francis Muskogee Hospital campus’ new inpatient bed tower, the most significant healthcare construction project in Muskogee’s history. The new patient bed tower will feature a ground-floor patient entrance, new chapel, and 126 new acute-care patient rooms, which include intensive and progressive care units. With patient rooms up to 47% larger than existing rooms, new family waiting areas, and staff support areas, this expansion is designed to be adaptable and provide space for future growth. Additional features include expanded admission testing and admitting area, surgery family waiting area with consult rooms, and four dedicated infection isolation rooms per floor.
