Kentucky Exposition Center
GH2 assisted with master planning for the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky, helping shape a transformative investment in one of the nation’s premier event destinations. The Kentucky State Fair Board and the Commonwealth of Kentucky have launched an ambitious, multi-phase redevelopment that will expand the Fairgrounds’ capacity, flexibility, and long-term competitiveness.
Phase I of the $180 million program introduces a new 350,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art multi-purpose venue designed to accommodate an exceptional range of programming—from livestock competitions to trade shows, conventions, and sporting events.
Phase II represents an additional $213 million investment, redeveloping the existing West Wing, West Hall, and Pavilion into a single, seamless 249,000-square-foot facility. The reimagined complex will feature Class A exhibit space, expansive pre-function areas, modern meeting rooms, flexible livestock and horse stalling capabilities, and enhanced food and beverage experiences.
As specialty consultant, GH2 is proud to support this world-class project in collaboration with Prime Architect Schmidt Associates and Design Architect HKS, delivering a forward-looking vision that strengthens the Kentucky Exposition Center’s role as a premier destination for agriculture, entertainment, and large-scale events.
