City of Weatherford Outdoor Fields

In 2020, The City of Weatherford selected GH2 Architects for two of their capital improvement projects. GH2 designed
an addition to the agricultural livestock show arena, a new indoor multi-purpose sports facility and new ticket booth,
concessions and restrooms building for the current soccer facility as well as field improvements.
The new Mike Brown Event center is an indoor soccer complex is 21,880 square feet to accommodate two courts, a large storage room, offices,
restrooms and concessions. Our architecture team designed the facility primarily for futsal use, but the space can be
used for other recreational sports such as basketball and volleyball.
As part of the City’s funding, the GH2 team also resodded two of the existing eight soccer fields and improved the
lighting, handicap accessible parking, bleachers and perimeter fencing. The team also designed a new structure for
restrooms and concessions.
