• Texas Christian University Women’s Equestrian

GH2 conducted site analysis, assessment and documentation of existing structures on the site, programming, master planning, conceptual design and cost estimate services to assist the Texas Christian University in determining the viability of accepting a land donation and constructing a new women’s equestrian team facility on the site. GH2 prepared a phasing schedule for the proposed renovations of existing buildings, new construction and site amenities for use by the TCU Equestrian Team.

The master plan would be implemented through four phases that would occur over a 10-year period to achieve full build-out of all facilities and site amenities to include:

• 120ft x 250ft outdoor training arena with bermed seating and an adjacent 138ft diameter outdoor round pen (warm-up arena)
• Three training barns housing 50 stalls, tack, feed, vet and wash areas
• 45 foot diameter covered round pen
• Team headquarters building containing administrative offices, team meeting, restrooms and locker room areas with an outdoor terrace over-looking the training arena
• Covered training arena with a 125’x250’ training ring, portable bleachers for 250 people, restrooms, game management offices, sports medicine room, and announcer-filming areas with an adjacent 100ft x200ft outdoor warm-up arena and nearby 120ft x 300ft outdoor “sliding track” arena to accommodate competitions hosted by the TCU Equestrian Team
• Paddocks and pastures with loafing sheds
• Maintenance and storage facilities for equipment and bulk hay, feed and bedding
