Charles Anderson Landscape Architecture is a regional, national and international, landscape architecture practice based in Phoenix, Arizona. CALA has completed design assignments across the world while collaborating with exemplary design firms and clients. In his more than 30 years of experience, CALA has crafted over 100 award-winning projects, including five ASLA national design awards recognized for their ability to integrate, art, nature, and cultural elements. Charles has degrees in Landscape Architecture from Washington State University and Harvard, he maintains a fondness for teaching and continues his query of art and science as applied to the built environment. He brings wild, dynamic landscapes into the city—elevating the "wild garden" to urban art.
Examples of his civic-scale projects include the Anchorage Museum Common, the Olympic Sculpture Park for the Seattle Art Museum, Metropolitan Park for Hellinikon in Athens, Greece, and the JW Marriott/Hanoi Convention Center, Viet Nam.
